Inside CloudRock’s Cultivate programme, building confidence, skills & a consulting mindset

A defining transition

Stepping out of college and into the corporate world is a defining moment. For me, that leap began with joining CloudRock as part of the Cultivate 3.0 Graduate Programme, an immersive experience designed to shape graduates into confident, enterprise-ready Workday consultants.

Beyond traditional Onboarding

Unlike typical onboarding processes, Cultivate 3.0 was a structured journey bridging academic knowledge with business application. It wasn’t just about learning systems, it was about building real-world readiness, with a curriculum that developed both technical depth and professional confidence.

Hands-on Workday training

The programme provided comprehensive training across core Workday domains like Human Capital Management (HCM), Financials, Security, Reporting, Integrations, and Workday Extend. Each module was built to simulate real client scenarios, encouraging us to think beyond the classroom and apply our skills in dynamic environments.

Coming from a non-technical background with no prior exposure to enterprise cloud solutions, I expected a steep learning curve, and Cultivate delivered. The experience was intense, fast-paced, and incredibly rewarding. Long days were filled with deep dives into configurations, data flows, and Workday’s architecture. With every assignment completed, I grew in skill and confidence.

Building a consultant mindset

One of the most impactful aspects of Cultivate was how it trained us to think like consultants. We tackled structured assignments that required analytical thinking and solution-building, helping us develop a practical, application-driven mindset early on.

Mentorship that made the difference

Equally valuable was the mentorship component. Being coached by experienced consultants, who had navigated real delivery challenges, gave us insight into client expectations, stakeholder management, and solution design. Their feedback and encouragement were instrumental in shaping how I approached problems and collaborated within teams.

Lasting impact

The shift from student to consultant isn’t just about mastering a platform, it’s about adopting a way of thinking. Cultivate taught me to approach problems with curiosity, communicate with clarity, and own my work with resilience.

Even today, in my ongoing journey at CloudRock, the principles I learned during Cultivate continue to guide me. The programme didn’t just set me up with skills, it laid the foundation for my professional identity.
